Just above two dozen kids in condition custody expended the night time in office room at the Davy Crockett Tower in downtown Nashville this summer while the facility they ordinarily sleep in was renovated.

A house for young children in Nashville awaiting foster house placement closed for renovations on June 8, reported Jennifer Donnals, a spokesperson for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services. The up to date Davidson County DCS Resource Linkage Office reopened Sunday.

On Monday, Donnals advised The Tennessean it is not a violation of DCS coverage to bring young children to DCS workplaces “anytime day or night.”

“Our definition of overnight is little ones who are introduced into custody ahead of midnight and continue to be in the office environment immediately after 4 a.m.,” Donnals claimed.

For the duration of renovations, little ones were being brought to the Davy Crockett business office house at 500 James Robertson Parkway, Donnals explained, and in some instances expended the night time there.
